The applications of steel structure buildings
In recent decades, steel structure warehouse have been widely used in various industries, workshop and event center, exhibition halls, and office buildings, which due to the low consumption cost, fast installation and long service life, and its play a role in promoting the development of industrialization. Especially in logistics industry, with the rapid development of the logistics industry, more and more owners consider building warehouses for their own use.
The steel building design should plan the loading and unloading area’s width and the ground load-bearing capacity according to the type of transport vehicles, operation methods, etc. The steel warehouse is made of portal steel frame, it is the most common structure system, its main components are as follow: steel beam, steel column, C/Z shape purlin, tie bar, wall bracing, roof bracing, rigid frame, wall and roof panel, etc. And welds, bolts, or rivets connect each component or part.
The components of the steel structure warehouse are prefabricated. The fabrication process in the factory and installed on the site. The structure is simple, so the installation period is short. Compared with the traditional concrete structure, the steel structure warehouse has the advantages of high strength, lightweight, good overall rigidity, strong deformation ability, flexible design, reasonable force, good wind and earthquake resistance, environmental protection, energy-saving and convenient construction, etc.
When designing a steel structure warehouse, we need to consider many factors, such as local wind speed, snow load, building dimension, doors and windows, skylight, etc. At the same time, there is a question need to be confirmed—crane, so we need to know the customer’s purpose in advance. Generally, the workshop buildings are mostly natural lighting, but the lighting uniformity is poor. If natural lighting cannot meet the process requirements, it should use artificial lighting.
